Yoga for mind clarity

Are you searching for tools to keep a calm, balanced but creative mind? A sustainable home practice that you will stick to?  A way to keep you lucid, fit and able to react in a constructive way to unexpected and stressful happenings? A way to unblock your creativity and sharpen your focus?

Yoga for mind clarity

Join me for an English language Workshop in the Art of Vinyasa Krama Yoga: Yoga for mind clarity on 7 and 21 February at Center Open Field in Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands.

Yoga as practiced today in the West is often focused on achieving the perfect asana and we tend to over exert ourselves in class, or even drop out.

This introduction to Vinyasa Krama, an ancient practice of physical and spiritual development, will help you to focus on the important aspects of your practice to keep it steady, comfortable and smooth.

Originally taught by the father of modern yoga, Krishnamacharya, this powerful sequencing methodology quiets the mind and sharpens concentration by harnessing the breath.

Expect physical poses in flowing progressive sequences: standing, twisting (day 1) and inversions including shoulder and headstand (day 2). After a brief introduction to yoga philosophy, we will work on your breathing, activating your energy locks and how to make use of them and cover practical breathing techniques to prepare you for a simple and effective meditation practice to achieve mind clarity and calm.
